At last, what everyone has dreamed of, but never thought we'd find: healthy comfort food.  It's made Weezie's Kitchen a popular neighborhood spot.  And word is spreading.  Portions aren't out of control; neither are the prices.  And best of all, Weezie's is smoke free, yet serves beer, wine, and liquor.  The broad menu accommodates every particular palate.  When you're focused on eating healthy, sesame-seared Ahi tuna or grilled Portobello Caesar salad are just two of many varied offerings to keep you on the straight and narrow.

When it's real comfort food you need, chicken-fried steak – in reasonable portions – or any of the kitchen's hand-cut steaks are just the ticket.  Meanwhile, those who don't need comforting have plenty of choices, from steamed veggies seasoned to peak flavor to creative vegetarian entrees and appetizers.  Owner Todd Gelsomino says that everything he serves is an extension of his home table, "things I've made for friends and family that they enjoyed."   Buffalo shrimp are lightly breaded and tossed in a tangy sauce.   If that's too indulgent, the hummus platter, with crisp celery sticks, cucumbers and tomato, or herbed orzo salad, are delicious, guiltless alternatives.

All bets are off for breakfast, though, when pancakes, steak and eggs (which feature a 7-ounce New York strip) with home fries, and sausage gravy reign supreme.
